Background of the Study
Religious media hold a unique position in influencing public perceptions of morality, especially in societies where religion is deeply embedded in daily life. In Gusau Local Government Area (LGA), Zamfara State, religious media, such as Islamic and Christian radio and television programs, serve as platforms for moral guidance, social cohesion, and spiritual enlightenment. These platforms provide sermons, discussions, and educational content that reinforce moral values and ethical conduct. According to Adebayo and Ibrahim (2024), religious media play a dual role as educators and influencers, shaping societal norms and addressing contemporary moral dilemmas. However, the impact of religious media on public morality in Gusau LGA, a region with diverse religious affiliations and cultural practices, requires further exploration.
